Our Naturopath Delroy Humphreys

Hello, my name is Delroy Humphreys.
During my childhood on the island of St. Eustatius in the Caribbean, I was surrounded by an abundance of medicinal herbs. My first profound experience with the power of nature came when my grandfather suffered a severe heart attack. Doctors gave him only days to live, but through my grandmother’s natural treatments, he went on to enjoy more than twenty active years. This remarkable recovery sparked my interest in natural medicine and laid the foundation for my lifelong passion. From a young age, I witnessed how herbs and natural therapies helped combat illnesses like dengue, infections, and the flu. Our lifestyle was rooted in the Biblical principle that “herbs are for the healing of the nations,” and I saw firsthand the astonishing power of natural healing.
A journey through science and experience
My fascination with the connection between nature and health led me to study biology at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, where I earned my bachelor’s degree. While working as a Life Sciences educator, I felt a growing pull to further explore natural medicine. After falling ill with Pfeiffer’s disease (Epstein-Barr virus, mononucleosis) and experiencing its complications, I encountered the limitations of conventional medicine firsthand. This was a turning point in my life. By returning to nature and embracing the eight pillars of health; nutrition, exercise, water, sunlight, temperance, fresh air, rest, and trust—I was able to fully recover. This healing journey inspired me to study naturopathy at the European Academy for Natural Health Care in Antwerp, where I successfully completed the four-year progam and earned my degree. This was a conscious decision to translate my own healing journey into a professional practice through which I could guide others on their path to recovery and vitality.
Academic & therapeutic foundation
During my naturopathy training, I developed a solid foundation in basic medical and psychosocial sciences, alongside in-depth training in therapeutic disciplines. The curriculum covered anatomy, physiology, pathology, oncology, psychology, psychotherapy, typology, nutrition, phytotherapy, iridology, aromatherapy, and various forms of reflexology and massage therapy. I also gained in-depth knowledge of biological cancer support, probiotic therapies, and systems like api-, aceto-, enzyme-, and gemmo-therapy.
Personal healing & holistic approach
My belief in natural healing was reinforced by my own experience and has since become the cornerstone of my work. I believe that true health is not just about treating symptoms, but about restoring balance on physical, mental, and energetic levels. With a holistic approach, I help people take charge of their own health and find balance in a natural and sustainable way.
My Mission
As a naturopathic therapist, I am committed to helping and inspiring people to take control of their own health. I believe that with the right knowledge and application of herbs, nutrition, and natural therapies, we can optimize our well-being and lead healthier, more balanced lives.
I invite you to discover your own path to healing and well-being with nature as your guide.
