The young buds are carefully processed into a liquid glycerine macerate using organically cultivated plant material, resulting in a convenient daily supplement.
Gemmotherapy is a branch of botanical supplementation that uses embryonic plant tissues such as buds and young shoots. These tissues naturally contain a wide variety of phytonutrients present during the plant’s active growth phase. Ficus carica is one of the best-known gemmotherapy preparations and continues to be of interest within traditional botanical practices.
Currently, there are no approved EU health claims for Ficus carica.
Per daily serving (6 ml) contains:
Ficus carica gemmae – 6 ml (buds of the fig tree
Organic bio-ethanol
Purified water
Vegetable glycerine
Contains 36% (v/v) alcohol.
Unless otherwise advised:
Adults: Take 30–50 drops three times daily.
Children (6–12 years): Take 15–25 drops three times daily.
Children (2–6 years): Take 10 drops three times daily.
Preferably take the drops 30 minutes before or at least 1 hour after a meal. The drops may be taken undiluted or mixed with a small amount of water, herbal tea or fruit juice.
This is a food supplement. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Very rarely, hypersensitive individuals may experience temporary sensations such as dizziness or altered perception of smell, taste or sound.
